Pipe Mapping and Design
Pipe work installations, modification and replacement has never been easier and more efficient then when scan data is used to design and model your pipe work requirements.
A scan of the project area will provide all of the information necessary to produce accurate pipe work data and ultimately fabricated components that will all but eliminate the need for site fitting allowances, fitting interferences and misalignment.
The scan data collected will include all existing structure and fitment details which will allow the new pipe work to be designed very accurately and will avoid interference with existing structures and installations. Pipe work be it new or replacement can now be fabricated, NDT tested and painted prior to delivery without any need for further working, expense and delays on site.
The scan data is also utilised during the fabrication process for quality inspection and reporting. As-built components can be scanned and overlaid on the theoretical design models to ensure compliance with the design tolerances. Any variance is quickly identified and assessed. Any non-conformance can then be rectified prior to testing, application of surface treatments and more importantly delivery to site and likely delays to the project schedule.
The obvious on site cost of schedule delays, labour, retesting, repainting and so on can all be avoided when verification checks are conducted during the fabrication process long before errors have any impact on site.
