Project Documentation

Collection of data, document control, data sharing, data analysis and historical tractability has never been more comprehensive or efficient. Every bit of scan data can be utilised for many different functions within the management of your project.

Communication of the details and requirements across the project lifecycle and stakeholders is the most difficult and important part of any project. 3D Scanning and the data that it makes available across all project functions ensures that the project details and requirements are available to all of the relevant stakeholders from the project sponsors through to smallest supplier or interested party.

At the project inception all relevant areas of the project area are collected and processed for use and sharing in many areas of the project life cycle including but not limited to the following > > >

3D walk-through of Facility

Data Web Share

Scan data is made available to all stakeholders for reference and analysis any time anywhere. Actual point cloud data overlaid with high definition 3D digital imagery shows every detail of the subject from any perspective along with interrogation functionality to analysis and determine feasibility and constraints

This virtual 3D walk-through facility is available to all project stakeholders throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.

Feasibility Study Documentation

The data and information sharing capability will make the communication of the proposed project more comprehensive and detailed than ever before. Add theoretical design models overlaid on the existing infrastructure for a presentation and analysis that is second to none.

Design and Engineering

The same scan data can now be utilized as a critical component of the design and engineering process. The accuracy, speed and complete detail of the scan data will ensure that the design and engineering process is more efficient, detailed and accurate than ever before.

The use of scan data will minimise mistakes, avoid interferences, increase accuracy and communicate the details and requirements to all stakeholders completely with the minimum of fuss.

Tender Documentation

The ability to easily share extraordinary amounts of data with any of the project stakeholders is very beneficial when it comes communicating the project details and requirements and receiving the best possible price and delivery of the project deliverables.

The sharing of 3D scan data allows all interested parties to view, review and interrogate the specific and unique constraints of the project and will often minimise the need for costly site inspections and the unknowns from poor information collection or communication.

Quality Control and Verification

During the manufacturing process each component can be scanned and this data can be overlaid on the theoretical design model to ensure conformance to specification and tolerance. The reports will represent the complete component with any deviation from the design and dimensional non-conformance quickly and clearly identified.

Confirmation of the component conformance at this stage of the process will avoid significant cost and delays compared to finding the non-conformance when the component has already been received on site and already incurred costs of freight, testing, surface treatment and so on not to mention potential project schedule delays.

Progress Reporting and As-Built Documentation

Periodic scanning of the project process provides a detailed and compressive history of the project time phased progress that can also be used for accurate project reporting and updates.

Another benefit of periodic progress scanning is that service or similar installations that are often concealed after installation can be accurately identified and located at any time in the future as required. This information can be invaluable and otherwise non-existent for future maintenance, repair, modifications, new installations and so on not to mention safety.
